Greg and Amy’s San Diego Wedding | Boston Wedding Photography

Greg and Amy tied the knot last Saturday with an intimate ceremony surrounded by their friends and family at the Sacred Heart Church on Coronado. It was so great to watch these two amazing families come together on a perfect sunny San Diego afternoon. The ceremony was followed with a celebration at Roy’s overlooking the downtown San Diego harbor.

Here’s a sneak peek of your beautiful day. Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness.

Enjoy your California honeymoon.

Many thanks to my second shooter Meredith of the San Diego based Meredith Brunette Photography (love so many shots you captured). The beautiful flowers were by Root 75 of Coronado. Hair and makeup by Stacey Lete

Greg and Amy are getting married today in beautiful San Diego

Today seemed like a good day to stop neglecting the blog. Later today, Greg and Amy are tying the knot on Coronado Island with a reception following in downtown San Diego. Surrounded by their close friends and family, they’ll say “I do” with perfect San Diego weather as a backdrop. Here’s a little peak from their engagement session of this gorgeous couple both inside and out.

Boston Strong

This has been a very surreal week in Boston. There are no real words that can make sense of it or make any of it better but I just wanted to send thoughts and prayers to everyone in Boston. To the four families that had the lives of their loved ones cut tragically short. To the dozens of families whose lives are forever altered. To the thousands of people who saw things they will never be able to erase from their mind no matter how hard they try. To all the people who had to wonder if even for just one second if their friends and family were safe. To all the runners who trained for months and months and never got to finish what they started or to those who never got to celebrate the amazing accomplishment of completing 26.2 miles. To all the families awoken to gunfire and explosions in the middle of the night. To the families of all the law enforcement officials in harms way trying to track the evil down. To the entire city in lockdown waiting to see where the lunatic was going to emerge next.

I think everyone shed some tears at some point this week. First in sadness at the lives lost and those injured. Then in disbelief thinking of how this could happen and the number of times we have been in those same spots on this day where the bombs went off. Then at all the acts of kindness, both large and small, occurring all around us. Then in relief when the evil had been captured and everyone could breathe again.

I walked through downtown today and through all the memorials that have sprung up here and in Cambridge. I read the messages people wrote and witnessed the still ever present police and military presence. It was surreal and sad but mostly I was touched at the way the city came together. I have always loved this city but this week I fell in love just a little bit more. #Boston Strong

Pete and Mary | Engagement Photos in Boston

I’ve been friends with Mary for the past couple of years but just met Pete for the first time right before our photo shoot.  I knew within minutes of meeting him that he and Mary were perfect for each other.   He was immediately cracking jokes and had the same dry sense of humor that I’ve always loved in Mary.  We headed into Beacon Hill to snag some photos.  They were naturals behind the camera.  So comfortable with each other and always laughing.   After we shot for a bit, we stopped off for a glass of wine (or two) and then headed back out for some twilight shots.  And I’m so glad we did because they are some of my favorites from the shoot.

Congratulations Pete and Mary.  You two are going to have a very happy and loving life together laughing all the way through it.

Here’s a sneak peek from the shoot.

Reason #972 that I fell in love with Pete during our shoot.

No one rocks a Santa suit like this little guy

In the midst of this very busy photography season, blogging had to temporarily drop off the “to do” list.  When time allows, I will be back at it sharing every shoot and wedding with all of you.  Until then, I had to stop and share a few sneak peek images from a recent holiday shoot.  Because if this doesn’t get you in the holiday spirit, I don’t know what will.  This little guy seemed like the perfect way to kick off the holiday season.

I’m not sure it gets any cuter than this…..

Is it me or is he is starting to say “Ho ho ho Merry Christmas”???

Two busy little guys at Bradley Estate in Canton

We met up at the Bradley Estate in Canton to get some family portraits.  For the first two minutes the boys were a bit timid and shy.  This lasted about 5 clicks of the shutter….and then they were off.  When we tried posing them for pictures, the boys would take off running.  So the 3 adults chased them around the grounds and then when we would least expect it the boys would surprise us and get together and smile for the camera.  We got some great shots…….just mixed in with a game of chase.  Boys will be boys……..and in this case exceptionally cute boys.

Here’s a sneak peek….

I think someone likes the fall….

We met up at Smolak Farms in Andover for a fall foliage shoot.  We had been rained out last time but it all worked out because Mother Nature was extra kind this time with both the sunshine and the foliage colors.  Mom had found an old Radio Flyer Wagon on Craigs List and Dad drove several towns over to pick it up one night after work. It was totally worth it. I don’t think this is the last photo shoot we are going to do with this wagon.  I can already picture her pulling this wagon around the orchard next fall.

Little A was a complete doll for the entire shoot. She did not make a peep. She just went with the flow. So good natured…and so cute to boot.

Here’s a sneak peek of what we snagged…..

The one on the left here kills me.  This was the most upset she got the entire time…”Really guys….just how long are you going to make me sit in this pile of leaves in the shade???  Sigh….”

Catching up with another Rocket

One of the perks of this job has been catching up with people from the past.  I went to high school with Kim.  We hadn’t seen each other since we graduated …gasp….18 years ago.  It was so great to see her and meet her husband and adorable daughter.  They started off by being a bit skeptical of a photo shoot on the beach since to date her daughter wasn’t that keen on the camera or beach sand.  Well she proved us all wrong by being all over the sand and being incredibly cooperative for the camera.  Here’s a sneak peek of what we snagged up at Salsibury Beach.  We were lucky enough to grab a warm afternoon in September.  It was even warm enough to have their feet in the water.  If little R had her way, she would have gone all the way in :-) .

Beautiful Newborn Baby Girl K

I met Baby K’s parents for the first time two years ago when I shot their engagement photos in South Boston.  Now they are married and parents to this beautiful baby girl.  We captured some newborn photos and I’m posting a sneak peek here.  We’re planning an outdoor family photo shoot for next month so stay tuned for more pics of this beautiful family.  I’m sure Baby K will change so much in just a few weeks.

Baby K’s First Photo Shoot: Due December 2012

I loved loved loved doing this maternity shoot because I’m pretty excited to meet the little human they are growing.  My friends Jamie and Pete were married a year ago May and this December will be welcoming a new addition to their family.  Jamie once described herself as “blissfully in love” and it’s so true.  When you spend time with them you can just tell how smitten they are with each other.  Baby K is so lucky to be coming into this family because he or she is going to be so loved.  I can’t wait to meet you Baby K and so glad I got to capture this exciting time in your lives.  Here’s a sneak peek….
